If that does not work, check this manually:
Older versions of fsodeviced left a stray directory around. Delete the directory /etc/freesmartphone/conf/openmoko_gta/alsa-default
and make that a symlink to /etc/freesmartphone/conf/openmoko_gta/alsa-2.6.29
